he stage name, Bjorn the Magician, is used by professional magician and childrens entertainer John Slack, from Charlestown, RI. Mr. Slack has been performing magic shows to entertain children and adults for more than 25 years. He has been a member of the Society of American Magicians for over 30 years.

This Rhode Island magician has entertained audiences for over two decades with hundreds of performances ranging from kids birthday parties, Scout Blue Gold Banquets; company childrens Christmas parties, up to stage shows for audiences of several hundreds. His entertainment program consists of magic, comedy, and good fun for young or old. In the role of a medieval street performer at events such as King Richard's Faire, Bjorn the Magician uses the people in the crowd as his assistants to bring joy to those around them. Bjorn the Magician does not need a stage. He prefers to work among his audience, bringing as many kids as possible literally into the performance. The children don't just hold items for the magician, but they become assistant magicians and the kids work the magic themselves.

Bjorn believes that people want to have entertainment that is up-close and personal. It is a special moment for a child or an adult when they are the person directly involved in a performance.

Recently, at the Warwick RI Mall, this kids party magician helped a little girl magically transform a folded piece of paper into a "Santa's Helper" hat. The look on her face was priceless. Both she and her parents will remember that magical performance with excitement for many years to come.
